From a very young age I have learned from my Elders that I am Indigenous (Native) and the family is originally from Moose Cree First Nation, Factory Ontario (FACTORY ISLAND INDIAN RESERVE NO. 1). Our ancestors moved from Moose Factory to the Sturgeon Falls / Warren Ontario area and were placed into the residential school in Spanish Ontario. Our Family records were placed in an old wooden church basement that caught on fire and the records destroyed.
In 2020, I did the family history and learned a lot more about my(family) history. People judge me for the skin tone, but others look past that and can see the Indigenous in me.
I am a Two Spirit person (Two Spirit people are Indigenous people who are born with both feminine and masculine and walk in the spiritual world on both sides, Two-Spirit people as the first LGBT2SP).
